Miriam Zoila Pérez is a writer, and the creator of the Radical Doula website and book the Radical Doula Guide. They are a journalist that writes about a variety of topics, but much of their writing relates to the worlds of race, gender, and health. Pérez has contributed writing to the New York Times, Colorlines, Splinter (formerly Fusion), Talking Points Memo, The American Prospect, Rewire News (formerly RH Reality Check), The Nation, Bitch Magazine, Ms. Magazine, The Frisky and More Magazine, among others. They are a former writer and editor at Feministing and have a widely watched TED talk called "How Racism Harms Pregnant Women and What Can Help."
